The Future of Nordic Exploration
Information
Who We Are
Arête is an exploration company focused on uncovering the next generation of mineral wealth in Sweden. We explore across our 100% owned Vasa Mineral District for precious and base metals in Western Dalarna, Sweden.
We are directed by Swedes and 85% of our shareholders are from the Nordics. Our vision is to build the next premier Nordic metals company through discovery.
Meet the teamOur Discovery Story
Arête Gold was founded on a contrarian exploration thesis: that the exceptionally preserved Paleoproterozoic volcanic rocks of Western Dalarna, Sweden, host intact, ancient mineralization systems.

We specifically target epithermal and porphyry deposits – systems formed near the surface that are seldom preserved from this geological era.

Operating in a historically overlooked region, we spent years building our geological database from the ground up. By self-funding our efforts and maintaining “stealth mode” to protect our first-mover advantage, we dedicated two years to validating our thesis. This persistence led to the discovery of Dulce, a high-grade gold and silver epithermal target. Today, as the foremost mineral experts in Western Dalarna’s geology, Arête Gold manages a robust pipeline of high-potential licenses poised for significant new discoveries.
Stakeholder Information
We follow the best operating and sustainability practices as defined by the Swedish Minerals Act, the Environmental Code and Swemin’s ethical rules for prospecting.
Learn moreSwedish roots and local anchoring
Arête Gold is a Swedish company, built on Swedish capital and a deep respect for our nation’s long and successful mining history. We believe that being primarily Swedish-owned gives us a unique perspective and a natural commitment to local anchoring, which is essential for any successful exploration project.
Transparency and relationships
We view exploration as a long-term partnership with the land and its people. Transparency and two-way communication are the foundations of our work; we don’t just inform – we listen to the concerns and insights of local stakeholders to ensure our projects are adapted to local needs.
Beyond compliance
While we strictly adhere to the Swedish Minerals Act and the Environmental Code, our internal standards often go beyond what the law requires. As a company, we follow established industry ethics to ensure that our presence in the field is professional and responsible.
Minimal impact, lasting integrity
Our operational goal is always “minimal damage and intrusion”. Whether we are performing geological mapping or advanced core drilling, we plan every move to protect the natural and cultural environment. We restore every site to the best possible condition, operating with the integrity required to ensure we are always welcomed back by the communities where we work.
